Blogging Just Comes Natural

Image

Since I was very young, I’ve always loved to write and use the English language. I began with poetry, have written one short story, and have chronicled much of my life in diaries and letters. I’m such a nut for grammar that I used to proofread love notes from my former spouse. (Hope Your Having a Great Day – ugh, it’s You’re)  Ok, so maybe that was a bit over the top, but it just comes natural. I find mistakes in all sorts of printed and online material and I just want to fix it. How can they publish that? Who’s writing for them? Don’t they have proofreaders?

So now that my business is starting to pop, I had a wonderful mentor #HireShai that introduce me to blogging. She has unleashed an animal. What better way to make a living than doing what I love? Writing as a freelancer and blogging for others is a magnificent way to make my love work for me.

I’m looking forward to a lot more #writing as a #freelancer and #blogging for others. Until you read again….. Have a Fan-Tabulous Weekend!!

Working From Home – Time Management

Well, being your own boss and working from home certainly has it’s advantages, but there are a few pitfalls as well. Managing your time wisely is your key to success. Just because you may be in your PJ’s doesn’t mean you should lay around. Get up and Get going. Your virtual clients keep their hours and you have to be available when they need you. Brush your teeth, find a healthy breakfast and LOGIN. Some mornings that’s a challenge. For instance, I was up until 1AM last night working and taking online classes. That was my choice but I still had to roll out of bed and get moving for a 9AM appointment.

Create a schedule for yourself that includes all your daily tasks, both professional and personal and stick to it as strictly as you can manage. I have always been a big fan of Dale Carnegie and the business strategies he has developed and that the corporation teaches.

Mr. Carnegie is also the author of Living in Day Tight Compartments. Check out this interview with Rod Colon of ME, Inc.

No matter your expertise or business function, time management is your great asset. Make a plan, stick to it, and live and work in a healthier mode.

….. and the adventure begins! The Write Hand is ready to start lock, droppin’ and poppin’. The world of Virtual Administration has come a long way since I began my hobby in 1997. Never stop learning, never stop seeking information, and never say unemployed. With courage, existing skills, and the determination to succeed, all things are possible. So it is that my corporate position faded last week into my mind as little more than a drab, 4-walled, prison that paid the rent. Oh sure, I helped many people and have done great things, yet it fate that now encourages me to help myself and do great things for myself. So awaaaaay we go………..
